Dave: You might find the SciAnglers intermediate line alittle faster sinking and if that doesn't do the trick try their type 2 sinking line. This is the one I use if the tide is running hard and I want the fly close to the bottom but not catching it. It casts fairly well even in the cold water of the fall. Go for the Wet Cel rather than the Uniform sink I prefer the former. Ron
