The best place to buy the Sturdee is from McGrew's boats in Charlestown, RI. They have several package deals far below the prices of Dick's marine
& they are the largest dealer in this boat, they know what they are doing & are very meticulous in setting the boat up. He even custom fabricates a
fiberglass throttle mount for the side console. This boat is fiberglass with a balsawood core. It has lapstrake construction, mahagony seats
& trim with oak rails. The 16' weighs aprox 450lbs & is rated for no more than 25hp which gives it more zip than you'll need. It is a very stable &
dry boat but pounds quite a bit in a good chop which is inherenty in a flat bottom boat. It is primarily a bay boat but will handle any situation you
will want to put yourself in. It planes easily, economical, plenty of room, safe & very tough. The boat gets compliments everywhere it goes. glenn
