My most recent work assignment has landed me in Portsmouth, RI. Having fished mainly in
the Merrimac and Plum Island area, I am not familiar with local hotspots. I know that
2nd and 3rd beaches in Newport report good fishing. Can anyone tell me of places to
fish from shore, both spinning and fly? Also, how much earlier do the fish arrive
here in RI, than say Plum Island. Can I expect a March Schoolie? Please say yes!!
