For what it's worth, I was there earlier this month for a 2 day anchorage. Discovered the flats you mentioned - wind was a stiff 20 knots in the face so threw a pink wiggle jig as I waded my way up the flats away from the lodge. Had 2 nice Bones swim right into me - they were only 20 ft away before I saw them, they closed in 'til about 10' away, saw me and shot off like rockets - oh well it was fun to see 'em at least. 1/2 hr later, on up the shore line I picked up a 2 lb.er. Alittle drag burn, but he came in quickly. I won;t complain. Didn't see `any others, but then again, I was not wearing polarized shades. Did pick up 2 med. size 'cudas on a white buctail jig after wading out to deaaper water. Fun stuff and like you pointed out - little fishing pressure - did not see any other fisherman.
