I think it's a must-have nightime lure, both because it's uniquely effective and because of the sound of a big bass blasting a still Danny right at your feet. It's a kind of an experience you don't forget anytime soon.
I find it has a unique action when retrieved very slowly with more pauses 'than seems natural'. I've never caught a fish with it in daytime, though.
