The Commercial Fishing interests are about to get an increase in my state of
almost 50% of their existing quota, 151,000 pounds. The committee is meeting
Tuesday night at the Narragansett Town Hall 7pm. I have been told they are going to vote on it immediately after the meeting and that they are favoring the commercial increase. Please attend, if possible, to try and postpone or eliminate this absurd proposal completely. The committee has made it clear that shear numbers of recreational anglers attending will have a great impact on their decision. RHODE ISLAND will not be the only ones to suffer if this passes.
