Try Mangrove Adventures in Sanibel. As far as I know Capt. Chris Dotson is the only guide allowed to launch within the Ding Darling National Wildlife refuge. You'll fish from a very stable rowed canoe, cover some beautiful water and fish amazing mangrove habitat (snook, trout, jacks and some redfish I think).I paid $150 plus tip for a 5.5 hour half day. I'm sure you can get his number from the chamber of commerce or the Ding Darling. If the experience is as important as catching fish(and we did catch fish), I couldn't imagine a better place. Courteous and friendly too.
