I wasn't there - and may be reading out of context - but whats so wrong about closing the season between 4/1 and 5/15 anyways?
The first part of that period is all schoolies anyways; the big fish aren't really moving till mid May anyways. Whats really to be lost by letting the few big ones that are moving during that month and a half go by untouched?
