Ed,

It is really slowing down. Even the last few days have taken it's toll. I was consistently taking schoolies

up until Tuesday the 27th at Lead Mills on the incoming and outgoing tides. Wednesday was the first day I got blanked.

I had one hit but missed it so there are still fish around. They are most likely winter hold overs, and very small .

I hate to say it but you missed it by one solid week. The week of the 12th had schoolie

bass invading Marblehead Harbor every night for about a week straight. I even had a few 14 inch Shad in the mix, real nice jumpers.

That seemed to disappear on Thursday the 22nd.

What I found successful was the small estuary that feeds into Salem Harbor right off Rt. 114 on the Salem / Marblehead

town line. But again most fish are 12 inches long, with the occasional 22 inch. There are still some out there but the action

is fading fast. Good luck. If you see a black Saab parked on the road at Lead Mills, it's me

See you there.
