I've been a bit obsessed with Nauset lately -- fished it three times this week. This morning offered a sandblasting wind and the roughest surf I've ever caught fish in.

Caught 8 or 10 schoolies, largest 24", mostly smaller. The fish were there, the real challenge was just getting a fly line into a fishable piece of water and keeping contact with the fly. There were a couple of visibly feeding fish that I couldn't cast at, because the casting target was defined as "where the wind takes it".

Finally saw some schoolies go airborne and a big back -- presumably one of the seals that were hanging around -- tore through the bowl.

Absofrigginlutely gorgeous morning.
