I have been checking the posts on this board for about three weeks. I haven't posted before today because I haven't had any good news to report. I live in Pittsfield, MA, and grew up fishing the lakes and ponds in the area. I've been into salt water fishing for a few years now and my most recent addiction has been trying to catch the tiny tunas from shore. I use light tackle spinning gear and have considered taking up fly fishing, but I've been reluctant to start buying a whole new set of equipment. I was in Falmouth for the first two weeks of September and may have bumped into a few of you on the jetties of Falmouth and Woods Hole. Since then, I have been taking weekend trips down to the Connecticut and Rhode Island shore. Seems like I'm never in the right place at the right time. I was at Weekapaug last weekend and watched some HUGE albies zooming back and forth through the breachway, but my lures never even got a second look from them. I saw the postings this week about the
Cape Cod Canal and wished that I had gone there instead. See my post for 'Advice Please'. This is a great forum - I wish I found it sooner.
