I've been enjoying all the posts from your gang of 'ditch rats' off and on for quite some time now. I live down in Point Judith and fish the local scene from a 28 foot Rampage, mostly spin/baitcast but occasionally use my freshwater fly gear for schoolies. I can make it to Montauk in about an hour and fifteen, seas permitting, which is better than when I lived in New York and those are like trips to Mecca for me. And I also usually fish Block Island and the rips to the west most of the time I'm out. On rough days I usually hit the local breachways, Narragansett Bay and the Point Jude lighthouse.I lived in Alaska for a time which is where I got bit by the bug and I'm beyond addicted at this point. I usually keep a close watch on whats happening locally and would be happy to let reeltimers know where/when the action is, assuming that is, that I know anything at any given moment.Typically I find I'm in sync with the hotspot du jour about a third of the time.
