JOSKO, better have a spare spool ready at hand for next plugging adventure..I too am looking for max distance..have you tried top shotting a spool with those new braided lines (FIRELINE) ? I helped a kid put a leader on that stuff in R.I. MAN that kid could sail a 2 oz plug out there...I'm thinking about buying some of that stuff.ABOUT 11 dollars for 125 yard spool...hate to have those bad boy blues chopping on that stuff, but if you can't reach em you cant catch em , Ehhh .. mike from Ct. p/s I doubt that silicon reacted with your line / the propelant in the spray can maybe , you'll have to cast it to find out..but do a few bench tests for knot stenght wet the line tie to plug leader... also try testing same line untreated o.k. ??? let us know how it turns out
