There is indeed a lot of bass off the Falmouth shoreline. Probably densest bird activity I've seen all season. There are birds working from Fresh river all the way down past Green pond.
Got into them from a boat - they are mostly 200+ yds off the beach. Mostly small fish to 24". They were so dense we didn't have a chance to see if there are bigger ones underneath.
If you're shorebound, get out your looong-cast rod and a popper, and pick a jetty to cast from. From a boat it's no-fail.
