Ed,

Lead Mills is in the corner of Salem Harbor/Marblehead Town line. Route 114 is

located right there in the background above a massive stone wall. Keep in mind it

is not an option at low tide. You will see a bike path bridge where there is an outlet

from an estuary across the street (Rt. 114). On the incoming and outgoing tide

this estuary is active very early and very late in the season. More often than

not, it's small fish. Recently not much bigger than 12 to 14 inches. I went and

caught some of the incoming after work on Friday night. I had a half hour to kill

at around 6:00pm, it was terrible out, lite rain and very strong winds. Luckily enough

I had one of those one hit/one fish nights. Using a sand eel pattern, I picked up a nice

23 inch fatty. It didn't fight like a July 23 inch striper. The colder water must of slowed

down his metabolism somewhat. But who cares, he's probably my last good North Shore striper

of the season. Being from RI. it gives me a good excuse to go and visit the family!
