well - I leave mine in the back of the jeep for 6 months; wash them once a year whether they need it or not and get3-4 years out of them. They say you should rinse them more often and keep them out of sunlight to preserve their longeticity; but to me, $150 for 3-4 years worth of fishing, thats a bargain!
