Yup - Mike your right.

after 10 or so cookie cutter fish its time to try something else. Anyone hardcore enough to be out that time of year is clue-ful; not clue-less.

Though - some warm afternoon in Dec with a high falling tide the marsh bank/corner by the end of Poppy spit would be an interesting place to check out, you know the one by the 4' deep mud flat sheltered from the current flow?

I also might just check out Derrick's camping ground; perhaps inside that pond on a high tide.

The way I see it there's thousands of fish in a river/bay system and gievn the right conditions they will be schooled in an obvious place.

hey - 4/3 last year I was catching schoolies on poppers in Cotuit where the whole of the bay was showing breaking fish. That was before the spring migration showed...

I'll buy your arguments about the fallacies in the report, but I know that winter over spots have some pretty dense pack populations of fish.

And damn -why would anyone look for winter over fish in undercut banks - we all know they hang out in the middle of the current anyways :-)
