check out carolina skiffs they have a web page..if it's similar..(my old fishing buddy has one for the sound behind the outer banks 20 ft.) you'll be safer in the mako .. Conditions here in the northeast can become hazardous too quickly.certain tides / winds can cause conditions that I would prefer the mako and more horsepower ..flat bottomed boats have there place..our rocky shorelines ?? your money you choose. good luck, mike
