Hey, sorry about the phantom post,
I've had a pair of Hodgeman neoprene waders all season and they have been excellent. Paid $60 at Sports Authority (3mm stocking foot). Advantages are many...warm at night, bouyant if you slip, and strechy (comfort). I havent had a leak all year and I've used them in all types of conditions. Disadvantage of the stocking foot is that sand in your shoes can wear holes in the wader soles. I've had Orvis neoprenes that have failed miserably. Purchased the Orvis "Bulletproof" waders after the neoprene failures and those quickly developed leaks as well. Cabella's probably has the best deals I've seen on neoprene waders. I'd avoid the 5mm, those are probably too warm during the summer months.
