I first responded to some of the controversy that ensued after this post on the anonymous thread but it was wiped out so I give a quick synopsis here. Thanks for everyone who responded productively to this post. I have never fished for winter over fish and I now have somewhat of a clue on where and what to do. I had no intention on creating the controversy that ensued but as mike P's analogy put it I was simply showing a article to a bunch of old timers in a tackle shop and asking their opinions.
