I'd be curious what these are. I assume you are talking about fish the size of
the alewives we see in the spring. If so, I'm assuming these are either spawned
out alewife dropbacks or blueback herring (a different species altogether).
At least in RI, bluebacks appear in mid to late fall in coastal rivers. Wondering
if they also run on the Cape...
