I agree, of course, the more fish in the river, the better the chances of getting one.
The "river" I was referring to is really a tiny brook above the tidal zone-not much room for
a big trout to turn around in. I was hoping to fire the imagination of people whose voices
could be heard by a fisheries dept. dedicated to satisfying the marshmellow & power bait crowd.
I personally get more satisfaction from seeing and not catching a 6lb sea run than I get from
landing a dozen 1/2lb farm fresh rainbows. BTW, what ever happened to Vibert boxes. They were
plastic boxes that could be filled with trout eggs and buried in the gravel of a spawning
brook. Are they in use anymore?
