Unless you want your back broken from the heavy pounding of a flat bottom boat dont get the skiff.
Buy a used center console and just go slowly in the shallows, dont worry if you kiss a rock or mud that why you bought a used boat for.
The ONLY merit to a skiff is the shallow draft and the stable front platfrom for standing. But youll be at the boat ramp watching the CC guys
go out while its blowing, mostly all fall.
