Where are you seeing them this week? I was pretty shocked to see a good shot of FAs in the Norwalk Islands on Halloween especially when the water temps are approaching the mid 50s. Been out twice since and haven't seen a one. As for technique, I found on Saturday that they seemed to charge a fly that was just barely moving high in the water column. I got one on an Eric's Baby Bunker about 3 or 4 inches long, not because I thought that it was a good choice but because it happened to be what I had tied on when they showed up around the boat. My buddy got his on a very small white snake fly, again barely moving just under the surface. In fact, one came up and took a few runs at the samll snake as it was dangling in the water just a few yards from the boat while we scanned the water looking for the fish to show again. Good luck.
