9-30: Plum Island

Haven't heard much good news about PI lately, but I decided to give it a shot,
mostly because I'm closer to there than home this week.

Tallied about 6 schoolies in two long hours at the river mouth and the beach front.
Best lures were Fin-S-Fish, Evil Eels, and white tube gitzits, in that order.
Birds working out in the boat channel but no fish breaking the surface. Nothing
working out on the beachfront either. Briefly met RT-er Doug B. & friend and
left shortly thereafter.

Although my records show a good shot of fish in October on the beach, I'm probably
hanging it up at PI until next May unless I hear some better reports. The Cape
and RI have been better this late summer/early fall.
