you might as well plan on going up there since those big bass never find their way into the canal, they always seem to go around the tip. an old timer, named Leo Rigalli told me 30 years ago that the canal is not the place to consistantly catch big bass in the fall. it was actually his belief that, any big bass in the canal would actually migrate north through cape cod bay, and go around the cape. he was right about so many other things, it's hard not to believe this theory.
