10/1 " Snorkel Fishing," With Eels, South Shore

I finally took the bigl jump off the bottom rung of the fishing evolutionary ladder today, and drowned some eels with another Reel-Timer who wishes to remain anonymous.

Horrendous thunder and lightening, and torrential downpours, cleared out just in time for sunrise.

Drowned eels for 2 1/2 hours in spot which has been consistantly producing big fish lately. Not a bump. Three pluggers working the same spot, had the same luck.

In case you didn't know, " Snorkel Fishing," is when you're standing in water up to your knees, but when the waves crash around you, you need a mask and snorkel to see and breathe! Toss in a bottom made-up of basketball-sized slippery rocks, and you soon realize, this is not fishing for wimps!

I don't know what the big stink is about, this fishing is not easier or less challenging than fly fishing, it's just different....
