I've looked through my books and don't think they are crevalle-jack. The shape is right but these fish had very pronounced verticle stripes. I cant find rudderfish in the books. Is there another name for them? The closest match I can find in the books would be a Dorade. It's not unheard of to get warm water fish on BI. I once saw a barracuda caught in the channel.
I really didn't bother with these fish with the BI bones around but I'll try to catch one this weekend and bring it to URI for an id. What a great way to pass the day waiting for night time stripers.
