I'm experiencing "catches" in the base of my loop knots that have been cleanly triple nail knotted and gooped with either softex or pliobond.
Whats happening is that after a few hundred casts and retrieves, a bunch of fish being landed, etc. the goop seperates slightly from the base of the line and there protruding bit of goop then starts catching in the guides. Once that happens the goop peels upwards and eventually I just peel it off and regoop the next nite.
Is there a better glue that doesn't peel?
