I've never had Pliobond harden. I've had it soften after long periods of time( 15 years).
I've noticed that the 'new' Pliobond is sort of tannish in color whereas the 'old' Pliobond I generally use is sort of reddish brown in color.
Perhaps its that or the sun thing.
