I'm new to the saltwater fly fishing scene and have a few questions about leaders. I've been making my own tapered trout leaders (9'-12') and would like to tie some leaders for saltwater.
1. What is the size and length (formula) of the leader you fish with?
2. What type of knots do you tie on a knotted tapered leader and tippet connection?
3. Do you use different leader formulas for different species of saltwater fish?
Any suggestions would be helpful!
