South Seas Plantation is at the north end of Captiva, and is by far the nicest accommodation. In fact it comprises about two miles of the tip of the island, up to Red Fish Pass. We'veve vacation there in late Aprils for several years. I've caught snook, sea trout, pompano, redfish, big jacks, sharks, ladyfish, all from the beach and "T" dock in the plantation. Just got to beware of the golfers sometimes. Sight fishing for snook with a 6 wt along the beaches, and amidst the bikini whales is a piss. I've also chartered flats expeditions and hooked tarpon in this area. All in all, I can't recommend it highly enough. The bad news is that my wife has been trying to book space there since early summer, and they're full.
