Take look at the Ahab lite and Mega lite series. I have a regular #8A Ahab loaded with 8# test but it's a pretty heavy reel. Hi quality and should last for years. I assume the lite series carries on with the Fin-nor quality and the weight is down around 9-12 ounces. Would have been my next reel purchase, but I think I'll buy a fly rig first. I also have two Daiwa SS models which are very lite and served me fairly well, although I have replaced two bails on the 1300 over the past three years, I keep a spare on the shelf! These are loaded with 8&10# test.
