Hello Everybody,
My two cents worth, for what it is worth I guess. I have fished the Penn
Reels for many years and loved them would not buy anything else, my Dad came back from Florida last year and let me
use one of his new Shimano Stadic 4000 reels. Well the Penn's arenow history and
I just bought another Shimano 4000 to put on a 7 ft. tidemaster inshore that I have.
They are "in my opinion" the best spinning reels on the market for lite work. I have several friends
who I call tackle collectors they have at least two of everything, they have all
the reels mentioned and had problems with all of them, the worst being the Fin-nor's.
I would place my vote for the Shimano all the way, 104.95 in the Bass Pro catolog.
Good Luck and Tightlines...............Striper
