Hey Brendan,chill out!

Trolling wets and streamers for large trout and salmon has been an accepted practice for hundreds of years. Usually, it's done from a canoe, not a four-hundred horsepower sport fisherman, but that's another story...The idea is to keep the bait working, not in the air. I don't remember ever getting any points for style out there.

What do you care how other people fish? I've never trolled a fly myself, but I certainly couldn't care less what anyone else is doing, as long as their not trolling through feeding fish.

If they're not catching fish, there'll be more left for us. If they are catching fish, then what are you complaining about.

It's bad enough around here with all the fly-vs.-spin-vs.-bait-vs.-whatever. Lets not descend into insulting other fishermen for issues of technique.

Jay
