Yan, it is of course astounding news. You write, though, that the herring are there and the bass are following. Do we think that the 42" has migrated after a Hudson spawning run, or was she on her way up the CT to spawn?
Up in these parts, big fish won't come chasing the herring for another 3 or 4 weeks.
