Super Silver Thread 17 lb. test works well for me with a Ben Doerr / Baitrunner combination. The clear is real low vis and doesn't seem to twist up like some lines when eel fishing. A ball bearing swivel between the main line and leader helps too. I go a little lighter than Larry B. but he has been fishing eels a little longer. (17 lb. main line / 40 lb. leader) Going to try flourocarbon leaders this year.
