Went out "exploring" the marshes along the Merrimack this morning for "not so popular" spots. I'm talking places other than the mouth of the river, the flats, Chain Bridge, etc. I've been looking for places to avoid the weekend crowds, especially. One spot I have avoided due to excessive ticks during the past, and another "new" spot ( to me anyways, it looks as though the only activity is from "neighborhood kids"). Both places are about a 10 minute walk off of dead end streets, through the woods and/or marsh. Both look outstanding...plenty of room to practice my ( soon to be )"fly casting" out of sight from the public.... :)
