A friend just gave me a fly rod and reel, and I was wondering if it would handle schoolies. It looks like it might be a G. Loomis, but instead of "G. Loomis" it has the name spelled out in script, "Gary(?) Loomis". The model is FR1086 IMX 9'- #6 Line. The reel is a Lamson 2, which I've never heard of before. What type of fishing might this rod be best suited for?
