Whiting do taste great as we used to catch them here at the Jersey shore all winter and spring long, but not any more. Because of all the netting that has taken place we have not seen them here in our waters for at least 5 years now and maybe longer. The giant tuna also feed on them and since they are now gone we no longer have a giant tuna run in the area known as the Mudhole.
