Having served my country proudly for 14 years as a jarhead in N.C., for most of my career,I enjoyed the N.C. coast as often as I could. At times I did not have a whole lot of money. (e-3 during the Carter Era)I did however learn the area quite well. In october , Hatteras, and Ocracoak Island are outrageouse places to fish. Red Drum (puppies),Sea Trout(Specs), Blues, Spanish Macs, King Macs, and myriad others run heavily. Have a 4 Wheeler, sleep on the beach (no plovers there!) Half the fun is the search and I can't say enough about Red Drum Tackle check them out Tight lines!
E-Mail me if you want some specifics I'll help you all I can
