Not a bad deal. The missing LP5 and Spey indicates they are new reels which are from Waterworks.
The recent clutch complaints came from reels manufactured before May 1998, when this inexpensive
part was redesigned. There was no problem before mass production, I own three from the small town
Lamson company days which have been totally problem-free.
I spoke with Waterworks and was impressed. They are adding a new series of ultra-large arbor Lamson
bar stock reels to the line through 1999. Stay tuned.
