The arrival of the bass in the Plymouth/Duxbury area has occured in the last week of April for the past few years. The bluefish river and the west shore north of Powder Point hold fish first. A massive batch usually comes in around the 10th of May. This early May school ( all rats ) will show almost every morning in the area just west of the Bug. We start to get increasing amount of 15 to 25lb fish around the 20th. The big fish do not move to this side of Cape Cod Bay until the middle of July.
