4/13/99 - Motor supports for trailering

Do you use a motor support when you trailer your boat ? West Marine has two models, $44 & $30, are there others I should consider ? Do they work that well and do they take some of the strain off the transom ? Having just bought a new (147 lbs) motor I'm concerned about the wear & tear on the transom as I bounce over the swollen expansion joints on 495. Bob Parsons, I think you have some experience here with flying motor syndrom. - Mark
