With two seasons I have had no difficulty the 25hp motor on the lund. Clearance does not seem to be a problem with the new motor. I do notice that the tongue is considerably less and I feel it bounce a fraction. Putting the gas tank in front of the console seems to alleviate most of the problem.
Any other motor problems I may or may not have experienced had nothing to do with clearance or motor support.
