I'm trying to find a conventional reel for for both shorecasting and 30 lb offshore trolling. Tried the Shimano TLD25 & Penn 545 GS - good trolling reels, but definitely not for shore casting.
Now I'm trying to sort out the Ambassadeur jungle. What's the difference between the 7000 and 7700? Where do these Morrum reels come in? I assume they are all baitcast reels. Has anyone tried them for stand-up trolling? What's the heaviest one of these one would use in the canal? What's the eeling favorite?
BTW, I realize rods for shrfcasting & offshore are different, but is it even reasonable to double-duty an Abu reel offshore?
