If you do decide to go with the Bauer (a good choice I might add), you might
want to go for the M4 or M5 instead of the M3. I have an M4 and it is only
rated for 175 yds. of 20lb backing. Although I have never had a fish get that
far into my backing I'd hate for it to happen and not be ready. I opted to
put on the 35 lb. Orvis Big Game backing and got 300 yds. on the spool easily
with 9wt Orvis Sly Line. Just have to remember to keep your fingers away
from the the stuff on a run or it will cut you pretty bad.

Love the Bauer reels though. Fantastic, smooth drag system.
