Scott if your going to fish nauset Inlet, i guess you are going to walk from nauset beack parking lot? Its a long walk, but, travel light and dont carry a tackle box or a bucket with eels. The surf has been pretty flat as of last night, if you dont mind getting wet dont where waders, If I had to walk to the inlet from the parking lot, I dont think I would. You can catch bass all along the beach. I would fish the area around the parking lot, park in front of the booth and fish around there , or park on the south end of the lot and fish that area, there is no charge after 5 pm, dont even think about fishing it in the daytime... but make sure you check out the water before dark to see if it is mungy, which it has been for sometime now! You can catch them in the mung but not alot of fun. Let me know when you plan to fish the area and I'll let you know what the conditions are at that time. Would'nt be fun to drive here and find conditions not to fishable, I kinda like the mung, it's been
here so long I might miss it! Love changing line every week or so. But it dont stop the fish from eating! If you fly fish use as big a fly as you can throw, something that will push some water, If you spin fish use an eel. Use it like you fish a plug! Good Luck
