I've not had any luck on them either. I tried them this spring when there were lots of fish around, and i got lots of nothing. Yet, 3 weeks ago, when the mackeral were in, I saw "squid brain" with 3 nice keepers he caught on mackeral colored 9" fin-s. He rigged them "texas" or "north carolina" style. I'm not really sure which state, but it was a southern one.:-)
