I have read it in magazines and heard it many times on RT, that the wind direction will affect the bait fish and push them up against the shore. For example, an earlier post suggested the SW should stand for "Striper Wind" and that the south facing beaches could be hot after a constant SW wind.
My question is Why? I would think that the currents would have a much stronger "push" on any school of bait fish than a wind would have. Is there some type of food that the bait fish chase that lives on the surface and thus would be affected more by a wind? Any help would be appreciated.
